Herramientas para el diseño, gestión y monitoreo de corredores biológicos en Costa Rica

Abstract

La presente investigación se propuso crear herramientas que contribuyeran a orientar y estandarizar los procesos de gestión de CB y así cumplir con los objetivos de conservación para el cual fueron propuestos. Estas herramientas se crearon a partir de los fundamentos teóricos y la experiencia práctica de gestión participativa de once experiencias exitosas del país. Los procesos fueron reconstruidos a través de la metodología de sistematización de experiencias y analiados mediante el marco de los capitales de la comunidad. Como resultado, se elaboraron tres tipos de herramientas: los lineamientos metodológicos para el diseño y establecimiento de CB, la propuesta de contenido de fichas técnicas y finalmente, un estándar para el monitoreo de CB en diferentes fases de gestión. De igual forma, todos estos productos fueron confeccionados bajo los principios del enfoque ecosistémico y están articulados de tal manera que les permite a los gestores de los CB seguir un proceso coherente de desarrollo e integración. The present investigation proposed to create tools that contribute to orientating and to standardizing the processes of BC management and in this way to fulfill the conservation aiMON for which they were proposed. These tools were created from theoretical foundations and the practical experience of participatory management of eleven successful BC in the country. The processes were reconstructed using the methodology of systematizing experience and analyzed by means of the framework of community capitals. As a result, three types of tools were elaborated: methodological guidelines for the design and establishment of BC, the necessary contents of scientific baseline documents and finally, a standard for monitoring BC in different phases of management. All these products were developed under the principles of the ecosystem approach and they are articulated in such a way that the agents of the BC are allowed to follow a coherent process of development and integration.
